| AquaTrip Protects Metropolitan City Parks Many
city councils around the country have the daunting maintenence task of
looking after thousands of parks and public spaces every day. Vandalism
amongst other issues, is one of the main causes of damage and water
loss.
With the cost of water today, any loss has an impact on city budgets. AquaTrips were installed at a number of City Parks, and continuously monitor the water used in the parks, preventing losses from faulty or damaged taps that run on, toilets that do not shut off and taps left open by vandals or users. In one park, because of the remote location of the Control Valve, our model AT301DP was used and the Control Panel was housed in a Vandal Resistant housing and mounted to the front of the toilet block. A push button on the sign turns the water back on. Signage on all taps in the park alerts users to the water monitoring system and how to turn the water back on, in the event it has shut off....... | Coastal City Councils Conserve Resources Australia has an
enormous coastline, and all along our coasts, there are thousands of
parks, public toilets, beach showers and recreational facilities.
A major problem for councils that have to maintain these areas are
invisible or underground water leaks. (Besides ongoing vandalism!) With the majority of these installations being on beach or sandy bases, any leaks usually go un-noticed, until someone studies the water meter readings. Leaks into sand often go un-noticed for years - a huge waste of precious resources, resulting in a big impact on council budgets and unnecessary rates increases. To protect against these losses, one Coastal City Council is being pro-active in rolling out leak prevention across public facilites and parks in the region. The first AquaTrip park installation was completed in September 2011 in a metropolitan park. AquaTrip produced a custom design, to protect the two barbecue taps and two drinking fountains from any form of leaks or vandalism. Our Model AT201P was fitted together with a Stainless Steel reset pad atop the barbecue tap and an internal reset switch in the 'Disabled Access' drinking fountain. | Gold Coast Surf Club Protects Their Property In late 2011, a popular Gold Coast Surf Club fitted an AquaTrip system to their clubhouse. After receiving an horrific quarterly water bill in excess of $9,000 dollars, this Surf Club carefully checked their property for water leaks. As they are basically built on the beach, the leaks never 'showed' themselves, and the water just dissappeared into the sand. With water bills only arriving every quarter or, in some cases, every six months, you can plainly see how easy it is to run up a massive bill before you find out you have a problem. With many plumbing fixtures in place, including lots of showers and basins, there are always a lot of opportunities for accidental wastage and/or plumbing failures. Now protected by an AquaTrip, the Surf Club have made sure they will never again pay for ANY water they are not actually consuming. AquaTrip notifies you immediately it detects a problem..... Please
